Originally, it was a noble residence, where also the famous Niccolò Machiavelli stayed. In the XIX century Fenzi family bought the Villa, renovated it and added many rare and exotic plants in the garden.
After a period of decay, in 1979 passed to ISKCON, who decided to give the name of Vrindavana to the Villa. Initially, it was mainly home to the religious community Hare Krishna. Nowadays it hosts many activities and services.
